Finger Picking Lush Acoustic

Lush Acoustic presents a folktastic night of rootsy music featuring finger-picking guitar and upbeat folk-skiffle blues from Carl Cape, singer-songwriter Phil Ogg, an amazing north-eastern themed songbook from Bill Read, plus others. It will be LUSH!

English Language Conversation Group

Weekly conversation session for people to practice speaking English in an informal friendly setting. The group is informal and volunteer run. Aims to be inclusive and anti-discriminatory. Free. Travel costs can be paid for people who would otherwise not be able to come.

Canny Little Cafe & Library

With live music, hot and cold drinks, and vegan cakes n snacks! The Canny Little Library stocks books, zines and pamphlets with a focus on titles with a more critical stance towards the society we live in and not available in most regular libraries/ bookshops. All titles are available to browse and borrow for free. The Star and Shadow also houses a large collection of film, photography and theatre books available for browsing and reference.
