Festival: Polytechnic - Grow Your Own Media Lab . Talk & Workshop

Steve Symons (Manchester, UK) and Matt Gray (Sheffield, UK) - muio workshop with Steve Symons: 1pm - 2.30 pm. - Presentations by Matt Gray & Steve Symons: 3 - 5 pm. Artist Steve Symons and Matt Gray present the work they have developed as part of the Polytechnics Grow Your Own Media Lab residencies. Grow Your Own Media Lab is a project to develop creative, open access IT centres across the UK, twinning the latest free software with locally recycled computers. Original workshops were held in collaboration with the AV06 Festival in March 06 with Steve and Matt in Washington, Sunderland & Throckley, Newcastle. Dominic Smith dominic at ptechnic dot org
