Festival: Rajni Shah In Wunderland

Wunderbar artists in residence programme - Rajni and her collaborative team will be in and around the building developing their new work - Glorious, a musical extravaganza - over these two weeks. This is mostly non-public, but will involve some workshop days and an informal sharing on Sat 13th.

Robin Williamson is, in no uncertain terms, a living legend. A mainstay of the whimsical psychedelic folk combo The Incredible String Band, he concentrates on harp playing and story-telling, he is also Honorary Chief Bard of The Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids. Gonna be a BIG night. £8/£7 concessions

Event: Lady Koo, Mr Carl Heslop And Buster Keaton Launch Our Restored Cinema Organ

In 1959, the last cinema organ in Newcastle disappeared. It had been there since 1930, and generations of cinema goers thrilled to live music, both before, during and after the main feature. Today that cinema is the Carling Academy. And today, for the first time in over fifty years, a Newcastle cinema unveils a cinema organ, as the Star & Shadow launches its restored Compton organ.
