The English Language Conversation Group is a weekly event at the Star and Shadow for all people who want to meet and practice speaking English. It is an informal group and new people - volunteers to help people practice speaking English or learners to see what the group is like - are always welcome. The group is inclusive and travel expenses can be paid for if necessary.

This workshop will introduce Northern Indymedia and look at why secure/independant media is important and how to use the internet securely(ish). It will also look at different ways of getting your media out there, including audio reports and zines
