Every Tuesday, 4-6pm, informal conversation group to practice speaking English and to meet people. New learners with any or no experience of speaking English always welcome. Travel expenses can be covered for people who need it. New volunteers to support with practising English (and making tea!) always welcome. No experience necessary, volunteers can assist with answering questions, chatting and offering more individual support in smaller group activities. We try and make the sessions inclusive, welcoming and anti-discriminatory.

Film: Double Bill: Stolen Children, Stolen Lives And Human Turbine

Join us for a double bill of documentaries on Israel and Palestine. Stolen Children, Stolen Lives is the first of a two-part documentary by Gerry O’Sullivan on the arrests and abuses of Palestinian Children in the West Bank. Human Turbine follows the growing partnership between the threatened tent and cave dwelling Palestinian communities of the South Hebron Hills and Israeli activists who resist the continued occupation of the West Bank by Israel not through protests and demonstrations but through using their resources to help these communities survive and improve the quality of their lives against all odds. Ehud Krinis, leading Israeli activist will lead the after film discussion.
