Film: 4’33” Silent Film Festival

The night will feature some new silent shorts made especially for the event, lasting 4'33'' and inspired by John Cage’s 4’33”. It will also feature scenes from iconic silent movies. Organised by Fine Art students from Newcastle University, this promises to be surprising and fun.

Film: Two Films By Artist Ed Ruscha

Film: Sanjuro (1962)

'Ronin' Sanjuro, on a whim decides to help nine earnest young Samurai save their master from the machinations and attacks of a group of evil self serving Samurai. Lighter in tone than Yojimbo, with a jaunty score and fast action captured on wide screen cinematography, the movie comes to an end with jaw dropping change of tone.
