ROBERT GREYGRASS tells stories of his Lokota People Walking on Turtle Island Traditional Stories from America and Robert’s Powwow singing evoke laughter and tears. Robert will bring traditional Lakota stories and stories from other tribes to inspire and educate. His powwow singing fills the room with good feelings and his flute playing can bring you to tears. This will be an evening of stories, songs jokes learning and laughter from an award winning storyteller.

Greygrass grew up in Hayward, California, far from his mother'sLakota and Cherokee roots. He has experienced many of the problemsfacing urban Indians. As a young adult seeking a better way of life,Greygrass started to explore his Lakota heritage and began to turnhis life around. What followed were years of traditional spiritualpractices; sweats, vision quests, Sundance, listening to the Elders,learning the language, history, stories, and years of activism withthe American Indian Cultural Centre.
