An extraordinary expression of political analysis from greatest French directors of their generation.
After American/ British interventions and invasions of Iraq and Libya Far from Vietnam still hits a contemporary vein in relation to the power play of distant wars and geopolitical realities. It is also a timely reminder that this war, the first war we could all watch on TV, involved us and posed for us the issue as to how to take on political power effectively. A dilemma that is less resolved now than it were then. Appearances by Ho Chi Min and Fidel Castro.
