This enchanting Oscar-nominated animation is a triumph of innovative hand-drawn techniques. The story begins in medieval Ireland, where 12-year-old Brendan embarks on a daring quest to defend his homeland against Barbarian invasion. To do this, he must find the crystal which will complete the Book of Kells - a legendary illuminated manuscript of the bible. This sets the scene for a magical adventure, during which Brendan must face Vikings and dangerous mythical beasts, while finding his way through an enchanted forest.
The Book of Kells is an Irish National Treasure.

Combines archive footage and a series of intimate interviews conducted with Bernadette.

Film: Adam & Paul (2004)
22 Oct 2014, 7:30 p.m.
Irish Festival Film: A stylized, downbeat comedy, the film follows a pair of Dublin drug addicts through a single day, which, like every other, is entirely devoted to the business of scrounging and robbing money for drugs. It is tender and unsentimental and a testament to the persistence of the human spirit.
