How is it possible that Cuba has achieved so much in the health of its population with so few resources? How can one of the world's poorest nations offer to help the world's richest - the US - after Hurricane Katrina?

In 70 countries round the world, lives have been saved and health systems strengthened by Cuban medical teams.This film explains how and why Cuba has set this amazing example, and what we can learn from it.

The film will be followed by a speaker from Medact, the medical action group for global security, which campaigns on health, conflict and development.

The film was officially endorsed by the human rights group Amnesty International for highlighting the trafficking of weapons by the international arms industry.

A short cartoon film by Oliver Postgate that compares the behaviour of people with the behaviour of nations, focusing on the dangers of war in a nuclear age. Followed by a speaker discussion on nuclear disarmament.

It depicts Folman in search of his lost memories from the 1982 Lebanon War. To be followed by a talk with Miri Weingarten of Israeli Physicians for Human Rights.
