Benny & Joon (1993)

Benny & Joon is a quirky romantic comedy about two people who, deemed as misfits by society, fall in love with each other.

In a Small town an auto mechanic named Benny is devoted to taking care of his mentally unstable sister, Joon, a relatively stable situation until the arrival of Sam (Johnny Depp), a quietly eccentric character who convincingly emulates the slapstick humour of Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton.

"Benny and Joon succeeds in remaining blithe and sunny with a suitable sense of the absurd”

Janet Maslin, The New York Times.
