How environmental damage impacts on human communities around the globe… Many of us are concerned by human poverty as well as the impacts of climate change. However, we rarely think of how intimately connected these issues are.The People and the Planet film series explores how the well-being of our planet and its people are deeply linked.The documentaries screened will examine the impacts of world food production, climate change, mining and dam-building on human communities. By presenting different stories from around the world, they reveal how freedom from poverty and the protection of the environment go hand in hand.
